Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Fire Operator (Male):
- Candidates usually need to have passed 10th Class (SSC) or 12th Class (HSC).
- A valid certificate in a Fireman course from a recognized institute.
- A valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License is often mandatory.
- Officer Posts (Station Officer/Divisional Officer):
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc) or Fire Engineering.
- Specialized certification from the National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur (e.g., Sub-Officer Course or Divisional Officer Course) is required.
2. Age Limit (As on 29/12/2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: Typically 35 Years (Relaxation is applicable for Reserved Categories as per Gujarat Government rules).
3. Physical Standards
Since these are uniformed services, candidates must pass a physical standard test (PST) and physical efficiency test (PET), which generally include:
- Height: Minimum 165 cm (approx).
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg.
